Kosgoda Police station resumes operations

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Kosgoda Police station which was temporarily closed after two officers were exposed to COVID-19 patients, has resumed operations.

Two officers attached to the station had received treatment from a doctor who was later confirmed to have contracted the novel coronavirus.

Subsequently, the Police station was closed temporarily yesterday.

The Police Media Unit said the Kosgoda Police premises was disinfected and a group from Elpitiya was deployed to the station to resume operations.

Six police officers attached to the Kosgoda Police have been directed to a quarantine centre in Habaraduwa.

The remaining officers have been instructed to self-isolate.
