(UTV | COLOMBO) – Another 163 persons have been arrested during a special Police operation carried out in the Western Province.
The operation was carried out between 6am yesterday and 5 this morning.
64 individuals were arrested for the possession of illicit liquor while 58 persons were arrested over heroin related charges.
14 persons were also arrested over the possession of goda and ICE while 11 were arrested for the possession of marijuana.
16 individuals were arrested during other raids.
Meanwhile two suspects have been arrested with over 10g of heroin in Peliyagoda.
Police said the luxury jeep used by the duo has also been seized.
