Public Security Ministry requests to allow services to continue

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Minister of Public Security has requested the Police to ensure that public life is maintained as normal during protests.

Accordingly, he has requested for services to be maintained, for ambulances carrying patients, school vans, office services, export zone workers, essential goods and services transportation and vehicles used by tourists to be allowed to proceed without any hindrances during the protests and demonstrations.

Therefore, the IGP has been told to instruct the Police to discuss with the demonstrators to allow such services to continue as usual amidst protests.
