(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Hatton Police has arrested an individual who brutally assaulted a student and slammed him on the floor.
A quarrel had broken out between two Grade 5 children at a school in Hatton yesterday.
The students were warned over the incident by the school administration.
A complaint was thereafter lodged with the Police that the father of one student assaulted the other student at his residence and slammed him on the floor as well.
The ten-year-old is receiving treatment at the Bagawanthalawa Hospital.
The suspect will be produced before the Hatton Magistrates Court today.
