Fourteen discharged, COVID-19 recoveries rise to 2,969

(UTV | COLOMBO) – 14 individuals who contracted the coronavirus have recovered and have been discharged raising total recoveries in the country to 2,969.

Nine persons, including a foreign national, were discharged from the National Institute of Infectious Diseases and five were released from the Welikanda Base Hospital.

174 active COVID-19 cases continue to obtain medical treatment. Eight individuals tested positive for the coronavirus yesterday raising infections in the country to 3,155.

39 individuals suspected to have contracted the coronavirus are under medical observation.
