(UTV | COLOMBO) – An increase in demand for electricity can be expected from tomorrow (19), the Ministry of Power stated.
The demand for electricity was relatively low over the past week, owing to the Sinhala and Tamil New Year, and many factories and institutions closing for the holidays.
Furthermore, the inclement weather experienced in many areas across the island, the capacity at reservoirs has increased by 65 percent.
