(UTV | COLOMBO) – Another 32 persons have been arrested during the past 24 hours on charges of violating quarantine regulations.
Accordingly a total of 81,220 persons have been arrested on the relevant charges since October last year.
Police said 2,802 persons travelling in 1,491 vehicles were inspected at 13 entry and exit points to the Western Province yesterday.
363 persons travelling in 234 vehicles, without the required permits, had been sent back at the checkpoints.
