(UTV | COLOMBO) – An Indian delegation headed by the Chairman of the Adani Group Gautam Adani has arrived in the island.
Indian media reports say President Gotabaya Rajapaksa is due to meet Chairman of the Adani Group, Gautam Adani today.
The meeting is due to be held in Colombo.
The Hindu quoted a senior official as saying that Gautam Adani is expected to meet the President to discuss the West Container Terminal project of the Colombo Port.
The Adani Group was chosen to develop the terminal.
A multi-lateral agreement was signed few months ago between, the Sri Lanka Ports Authority, India’s Adani Group and its local agent pertaining to the West Container Terminal project.
