UTV | COLOMBO – 422 suspects have been arrested in special raids conducted in the Western Province.
A majority of suspects who were arrested in the 24-hour operation were apprehended on charges of possession of heroin, a total of 176 persons.
Meanwhile another 115 persons were arrested on charges relating to illicit liquor, 84 in possession of marijuana, 21 in possession of goda and ICE, while another 23 suspects were taken into custody in other raids.
