(UTV | COLOMBO) -Atamasthanadhipathi Most Venerable Dr. Pallegama Siriniwasa Nayaka Thera, the Chief Sanghanayaka North Central Province has passed away at the age of 69.
Most Venerable Siriniwasa Nayaka Thera passed away while receiving treatment at a Private Hospital in Colombo.
Siriniwasa Nayaka Thera, who was born in 1953, was ordained at the Ruwanweli Maha Seya in Anuradhapura in 1968.
Siriniwasa Nayaka Thera after completing his studies at the Vidyodaya Pirivena in Maligakanda obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University Kelaniya in 1984.
Most Venerable Dr. Pallegama Siriniwasa Nayaka Thera was appointed the Atamasthanadhipathi in 1997 and also function as the the Chief Sanghanayaka North Central Province until his demise.
