(UTV | COLOMBO) – Women have the right to decide whether or not to cover their face, although some attempted claim that it is a threat to National Security, Parliamentarian Rishad Bathiudeen said.

He made these remarks participating in the debate on the regulations under the National Gem and Jewellery Authority Act in Parliament yesterday (09).

The Leader of the All Ceylon Makkal Congress (ACMC) in Parliament further stressed that the Muslim Marriage Laws could not be amended without the advice of Islamic Intellectuals and Scholars.
