(UTV | COLOMBO) – Litro Gas Company has announced that LP gas cylinders will not be released for domestic use today.
Accordingly, Litro Chairman Vijitha Herath has urged the general public not to line up at gas distribution centres since LP gas cylinders will not be released for domestic consumption.
Litro Chairman Vijitha Herath said stocks of domestic gas had run out adding therefore gas cylinders will only be released only for industrial purposes.
Herath meanwhile said a sum of USD 7 million is scheduled to be paid today for two gas shipments of 3,500MT each.
Litro Chairman informed that the gas stocks are scheduled to reach Sri Lanka between next Thursday and Saturday.
