Wijeyadasa claims he was threatened by President

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Parliamentarian Wijeyadasa Rajapakse claimed he was verbally abused and threatened by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa this morning (16).

He said that the President had abused him during a telephone conversation.

“He spoke to me in a manner that is not suitable for the Head of State. Therefore, I too had to respond in kind,” Rajapakshe said at a special media briefing.

Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Parliamentarian also said that he had complained to the Police over the matter.
