(UTV | COLOMBO) – The protest launched by a group of inmates at Welikada Prison is still ongoing.
A senior prison official said they were protesting on the roof of a prison building.
The high-ranking official further stated that about ten persons who have been sentenced to long prison terms have joined the protest demanding their release.
They started the protest yesterday afternoon.
