(UTV | COLOMBO) – A gazette notification has been issued to remove the Chairman of the Wariyapola Pradeshiya Sabha from his post.
The gazette notification has been issued by the Governor of the North Western Province, Admiral of the Fleet Wasantha Karannagoda.
The Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman has been removed from the post after an investigation was conducted by a panel headed by a retired High Court judge.
According to the Governor, Chairman Tilakaratne Bandara Dissanayake was found guilty of a number of charges and has been removed from the post, effective 1st of January.
