Use electricity sparingly from 6:30 PM to 8 PM

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Sri Lanka’s Minister of Power Gamini Lokuge has requested the public to use electricity sparingly on Friday (28) evening.

Speaking exclusively to News 1st, the Minister said the public is urged to use electricity sparingly between 6:30 PM and 8:00 PM on Friday (28) due to a shortage of 20 MW in the supply system.

He said measures are being taken to address the issue by securing electricity from other generators.
