(UTV | COLOMBO) – A youth died after being hit by a train in the Wellawatte area last evening (28).
The Police said two young girls had been hit by the train close to the Police Lifeguard Unit in the area.
They had been hit by a train that was plying from Colombo, Fort to Aluthgama.
The injured girls had been admitted to the Kalubowila South Teaching Hospital, after which one girl succumbed to her injuries.
The two women have been identified as siblings, while the deceased is a 20-year-old resident of Udupussellawa.
