Three versions of Delta variant identified in Sri Lanka

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Sri Lanka has detected 03 new mutations of the Delta COVID variant, revealed State Minister Professor Channa Jayasumana.

He told Parliament on Tuesday (17) that Sri Lankan researchers have detected several mutations of the virus and there are three key mutations that have been identified.

‘ SA 222V, SA 701S & SA 1078S. These are spike mutations,’ Professor Channa Jayasumana said.
