Teachers’ strike continues for 2nd consecutive day

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The trade union action launched by teachers entered day 2 today (13), as their demands remain unmet.

The trade union action was called to protest against several issues including the arrest and quarantine of a group including the Secretary of the Ceylon Teachers’ Union Joseph Stalin.

Accordingly, the teachers attached to 14 trade unions have decided to refrain from teaching via online.
