Teachers and Principals trade union action continue

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Joint Alliance of the Teachers and Principals Trade Unions which met yesterday has decided to continue the trade union action initiated based on the salary issue.

Its representative, Joseph Stalin, general secretary of the Ceylon Teachers ‘Union, said they would intensify the trade union action if the issue was not resolved before the schools’ opening day on the 21st.

Representatives of 31 Teachers and Principals’ Trade Unions who are engaged in a trade union action to withdraw from online teaching were present at the meeting of the Teachers’ and Principals’ Trade Union Alliance held yesterday afternoon.

Today is the 97th day of the teacher-principal trade union action launched by several trade unions.
