(UTV | COLOMBO) – A suspect linked to crimes perpetrated in several areas has been arrested in Mount Lavinia.
The suspect was arrested at the Mount Lavinia train station following intelligence received on his whereabouts.
Police said investigations have revealed the suspect is linked to several robberies of gold carried out in Mount Lavinia, Wellawatte Boralesgamuwa, Moratuwa, Dehiwala, Nugegoda and Kotahena, and the theft of motorcycles.
The 31-year-old suspect is a resident of Angulana.
Further investigations are being carried out by the Mount Lavinia Police.
