(UTV | COLOMBO) – An individual who had attempted to smuggle 10kg of gold out of the country has been arrested in Kalpitiya.
Officers attached to the Special Task Force Branch of Puttalam arrested the suspect while transporting the stock of gold in a van around 3 this morning.
The value of the stock of gold has not been ascertained thus far.
