Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 death toll increases to 11,699

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Another 132 coronavirus related fatalities have been confirmed in Sri Lanka, raising the death toll to 11,699.

The Director General of Health Services in a statement said all 132 deaths occurred yesterday, the 14th of September.

66 males and 66 females were among the victims. 101 persons, 47 males and 54 females among the group that succumbed to the virus, were 60 years of age or above.

Meanwhile, 28 individuals, 18 males and 10 females, were between 30 and 59 years of age.

Three individuals, a male and two females who were below the age of 30 years also passed away yesterday after contracting the novel coronavirus.
