Special Jaffna to KKS train in operation from today

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Sri Lanka Railways says a special express train with 520 air-conditioned seats will be in operation from Mt. Lavinia to Jaffna and Kankesanthurai over the weekend, beginning today.

Railways Commercial Deputy General Manager VS Polwattage said the train, which will include 10 first class compartments, will begin its journey from Kankesanthurai to Mount Lavinia at 10pm on Sunday.

The Deputy General Manager said a fare of Rs.2,800 will be charged from commuters.
