SLTB incurs Rs. 2331 million loss

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) has suffered a loss of Rs. 2331 million in 2020 due to the COVID-19 epidemic outbreak, a report released by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka reveals.

The total revenue of the SLTB has come down to Rs.31.233 million in the same year, the report further reveals.

The expenditure of the SLTB in that year was Rs. 33.565 million.

However, the SLTB had recorded a profit of Rs. 1.557 million in 2019 and the revenue for that year was Rs. 43,490 million.

The total expenditure was Rs. 41,933 million.
