(UTV | COLOMBO) – A foreign woman who fell from a moving bus at Katugoda in Galle was admitted to the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital with serious injuries, Galle Harbour Police stated.
The 38-year-old Russian woman, Yalemvina Lajhavova, had boarded a bus from Mirissa to Galle and had told the driver to stop the bus as her bag had fallen from the bus in Katugoda.
She had jumped off the bus to pick up the bag before it was stopped.
The bus driver has been arrested, Harbour Police are investigating.
