Returning students & teachers to be quarantined

The Ministry of Education says a decision has been reached to quarantine students, teachers and staff returning to Sri Lanka from countries where the coronavirus is prevalent for 14 days.

The Ministry in a statement said students, teachers and others affiliated with the education industry in foreign nations who return from China, South Korea, Italy and other coronavirus hit countries will be quarantined.

The Education Ministry reached the decision following directives issued by the Ministry of Health to seek precautionary measures as the coronavirus has spread to more then 70 countries.
