(UTV | COLOMBO) –The Department of Meteorology says the prevailing showery condition over the island is expected to reduce to some extent.
The Met Department however predicted several spells of showers in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-Western and Northern provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts today.
It added showers or thundershowers can be expected at several places in the Uva, Eastern and North-Central provinces during the afternoon or night.
Meanwhile, the general public has been requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
