Public Utilities Commission to take decision on power cuts today

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka is scheduled to convene once again today to consider the request made by the Ceylon Electricity Board to impose daily power cuts.

The CEB had sought permission from the Commission to impose daily power cuts of between two and nine hours based on three assumptions.

The PUCSL during a meeting held last week decided against granting permission to impose daily schedule power cuts following an assessment of data provided by experts.
