Public transport between districts prohibited

(UTV | COVID-19) – Public transport even between districts where police curfew was lifted was prohibited, Passenger Transport Minister Mahinda Amaraweera said.

He said public transport service except for essential services, would not be operated to and from districts.

The minister also instructed that passengers who were not wearing face masks should not be transported in public transport.

He said that security forces assistance would be sought to maintain public transport services efficiently.
