Provincial transport strengthened for commuters

(UTV  | COLOMBO) – The Railway Department stated that 70 train journeys will be added to the service from today.

Gamini Seneviratne, the Deputy General Manager of the department told that 35 train journeys have been made this morning for commuters engaged iin essential services.

Also, the Deputy General Manager of the Sri Lanka Transport Board Panduka Swarnahansa stated that buses have been deployed today to cater to the needs of the commuters who are engaged in essential services in the regions and districts.

The Lanka Private Bus Owners’ Association also stated that a limited number of buses will be added to the province from today to cater to the needs of passengers.
