(UTV|COLOMBO) -The power supply to Nugegoda and Kirulapone has been temporarily disconnected due to damage caused to underground power lines, during the construction of the Greater Colombo Wastewater Management Project.
Speaking to a prominent online news portal in the island, the Media Director of the Ministry of Power Sulakshana Jayawardene clarified that the issue was not a power cut, but a temporary power outage.
He noted that the power supply to affected areas would be restored to normal as soon as the damaged power lines are repaired.
