Police to take action against spread of misinformation on virus

The Police have decided to take action against the spread of misinformation related to the coronavirus in Sri Lanka.

The Police urged the public not to be misled by misinformation spread on social media.

The Police media unit said that stern action will be taken against anyone spreading false information.

Various reports are being spread on social media with regards to the virus in Sri Lanka. Some reports have led to panic in schools and other public places.
