(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Speaker has instructed Authorities to facilitate measures for Parliamentarian Rishad Bathiudeen to attend Parliamentary sittings today (08).
It was announced that the Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena, under the Parliament Privileges Act allowed the former Minister to attend Parliamentary sessions.
The Leader of the All Ceylon Makkal Congress (ACMC), Parliamentarian Rishad Bathiudeen and his brother Riyaj Bathiudeen were detained by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA) on early Saturday morning of 24 April.
