Over 950 quarantine law violators arrested

(UTV | COLOMBO) – In the last 24 hours, 965 persons have been arrested for violating quarantine regulations.

The Police Media Division stated that 73,078 persons have been arrested so far for violating quarantine regulations issued to curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

They noted that 13 blockades have been set up at entry and exit points to the Western Province.

Police have searched 308 persons entering and exiting the Western Province yesterday.

The number of vehicles inspected is reported as 197.
