(UTV | COLOMBO) – A total number of 905 motorists have been arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol from 12 noon on the Sunday (April 18) to 6.00 am on Monday (April 19), said the Police Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana.
A special 18-hour island-wide operation was commenced on April 18 (Sunday), in order to apprehend drunk drivers.
