Over 600 persons administrated Sputnik V Vaccine

(UTV | COLOMBO) – 669 persons have been given the Russian manufactured Sputnik-V vaccine doses yesterday.

The inoculation of the Sputnik-V vaccine to residents of Gothatuwa began yesterday with State Minister of Production, Supply and Regulation of Pharmaceuticals

Channa Jayasumana saying doses will be administered to residents who are between the ages of 30 and 60.

A stock of 15,000 doses of the Russian manufactured Sputnik-V vaccine arrived in the island on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, 17,249 persons were given the second dose of the Astra-Zeneca COVIShield vaccine in the country yesterday.

Accordingly, 174,800 persons have been fully vaccinated in Sri Lanka thus far.
