(UTV | COLOMBO) – Police spokesman says over 2,000 persons were arrested by police for not wearing face masks and violating social distancing requirements during the last two months.
25 persons arrested during the last 24 hours on the same offences increasing the total arrested so far to 2,024
Police started arresting those who violate social distancing requirements and not wearing face masks in public since 30 October, two weeks after government gazetted the offences.
