(UTV | COLOMBO) – One individual has died and six others injured during a road accident which occurred on the Bibila-Mahiyanganaya main road.
The accident occurred when a bus plying towards Colombo from Kalmunai, collided head on with a van heading in the opposite direction.
The individual who succumbed to injuries was revealed to be a passenger in the van, while five persons including the driver of the van and another passenger of the bus have been admitted to the Mahiyanganaya General Hospital to be treated for injuries.
Police said the deceased individual’s identity has not been confirmed.
