NO plans for a lockdown – Prof. Channa Jayasumana

(UTV | COLOMBO) – State Minister Prof. Channa Jayasumana says that there are no plans to lockdown the country or impose travel restrictions in the current situation.

The Minister said this responding to questions on the future course of actions in view of the rising COVID-19 cases.

He stated that no necessity to impose restrictions have arisen due to the current situation, however adhering with health guidelines and obtaining the booster shot would assist in overcoming the COVID-19 challenge.
