(UTV | COLOMBO) – Sri Lanka is marking its 73rd Independence Day at a most critical stage in its history, the National Shoora Council (NSC) stated.
The Council stressed that it is a time when grave challenges are facing national unity and the economy is in a parlous position as never before experienced. In addition to all this, the COVID-19 pandemic continues to plague the nation with no quick solution in sight.
The NSC pledged its fullest support in this endeavour to place our motherland in a much brighter, firmer, and prosperous footing by the dawn of the 74th Independence Day.
