(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has been tasked with investigating the incident that took place in Mirihana yesterday.
Fifty four people have been arrested, including a woman, for rioting during a protest in Nugegoda – Mirihana last night.
The Western Province Crime Prevention Unit was conducting preliminary investigations into the incident.
In this case, the responsibility of the investigation into the incident has been transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department.
