“Special Commodity Tax imposed on a kilogram of imported dates by Rs. 199. The tax which stood at Rs. 200 will now be Rs. 1, the measure was taken to provide relief to the Muslim community for the upcoming Ramazan period,” said the Ministry of Finance.
