Maximum retail price fixed for chicken

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The government has decided to set a maximum retail price for chicken from midnight today, the Consumer Affairs Authority said.

They said the decision was taken as a  concession to the consumers during the upcoming festival season.

Accordingly, a kilogram of chicken with skin which was at Rs.475 will be sold at Rs.430. A kilogramme of skinless chicken which was at Rs.600 will be sold at Rs.530.
