(UTV|COLOMBO) – Mainly fair weather will prevail over most parts of the island, said the Department of Meteorology.
However, showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Sabaragamuwa province and in Kaluthara, Galle and Matara districts after 2.00 pm.
Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces during the morning.
Wind speed can increase up to 40 kmph at times in Hambanthota, Monaragala and Puttalam districts.
General public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
