Jevan Thondaman’s nomination papers to NEC

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna says nomination papers and other relevant documents signed by late former Minister Arumugan Thondaman’s son, Jeevan Thondaman to contest the upcoming General Election for the Nuwara-Eliya District, will be handed over to the National Election Commission today.

Jeevan Thondaman had signed the relevant documents on Thursday.

Meanwhile the Ceylon Workers Congress says it will reach a decision pertaining to the party’s leadership, after the conclusion of the upcoming General Election.

The party is currently governed by an interim committee consisting of party Deputy Leader Muttu Sivalingam and seven other members.
