(UTV | COLOMBO) – Inter-provincial travel restrictions have been imposed from midnight today (10) to curb the spread of COVID-19.
Accordingly, the police have deployed heavy security near the provincial borders.
Police have allowed vehicles to travel between provincial boundaries only persons on essential duties and vehicles carrying essential food items.
Private and SLTB buses operating between the provinces as usual and buses carrying passengers contrary to the quarantine instructions will be subjected to strict inspection by police officers on duty at roadblocks.
