(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Court of Appeal has directed to grant bail to Attorney at law Hejaaz Hizbullah over the Easter Sunday case.
Hizbullah was arrested on 14 April 2020 by the CID on charges of aiding and abetting the Easter Sunday bombers and of engaging in activities detrimental to religious harmony.
The Attorney General forwarded an indictment to the Puttlam High Court against Hejaaz Hizbullah and the Principal of the Al Suhariya Madrasa School Salim Khan Mohomed Sahkir.
The indictments have been filed on charges under the Prevention of Terrorism Act and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.
