(UTV | COLOMBO) – The gazette notification pertaining to the Maximum Retail Price (MRP) imposed on rice has been issued.
Accordingly a kilogram of white and red kekulu will be sold at Rs.85, a kilogram of white and red kekula samba at Rs.90 and a kilogram of keeri samba at Rs.125.
The Consumer Affairs Authority stated that a kilogram of white and red samba and nadu will be sold at Rs.90.
The Authority stated that legal action will be taken against vendors who sell rice above the Maximum Retail Price.
