Gas & Fuel shortage hits urban restaurants

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Restaurant Owners’ Association pointed out that due to the gas crisis opening restaurants for business has turned into a crisis on its own.

The Chairman of the Anuradhapura District Restaurant Owners Association, Indika Anurakumara said that the prices of essential commodities have gone up due to the increase in fuel prices, and this has affected business engaged in food industry in a very serious manner.

Due to the existing gas and fuel crisis, the number of people who visit towns and cities had dropped considerably and urged the Government to intervene to find a solution to the crisis.
